The LintAlert does not connect to or talk to your dryer via the electric line, but rather gets its minimal electricity to run from any 110 outlet, of which usually exists above the washing machine or other outlet in the laundry room. The magic occurs in the 1/8 tube that connects or taps into the 4" exhaust hose. The pressure in that line is monitored and then displayed in the LED light bar.
The LintAlert is not able to turn off or control your dryer. It merely monitors the pressure levels in the exhuast conduit and needs a 110 outlet to do this.
So, there is only the 110v version of the LintAlert. Hope this helps. It is a pretty neat safety device. Thanks for asking.
