Screws for Dryer-Ell
« on: April 24, 2014, 09:52:04 AM »

What does everyone use for screws on the Dryer-Ells?  I have some small machine screws and nylock nuts and washers.  Will those be good or should I just use sheet metal screws?

Typically the HVAC installers have and like the small, very sharp, large head black sheet metal screws, but any sort of sheet metal screw, or self tapping screw would work fine.  In the office we like to assemble the DryerElls with the metal stud screws, as the point of the screw is a drill bit style and not super sharp like the black ones, so there is less chance of injury.  Hope this helps.
